This is a super insightful graph from @kingsmillbond.bsky.social illustrating how countries like India that are experiencing economic development later are skipping over some (not all) fossil dependency.

THEY WILL NOT BREAK US

THEY CAN NOT BREAK US

THEY DIDN'T BRING ENOUGH GUYS

FOR EVERY ONE OF US THEY TAKE, ONE HUNDRED MORE TAKE TO THE STREETS

THERE WILL FOREVER BE MORE OF US THAN OF THEM

THEY STAND FOR NOTHING, WE STAND FOR EACH OTHER

THEY WILL REGRET COMING HERE

MINNEAPOLIS WILL WIN
fear.

they need to demonstrate that resistance is worse than useless, that it will be broken, and that their agents have impunity regardless of their actions.
So… what’s the strategic goal for the administration in Minnesota, exactly?

I’m not being cute, I don’t understand the theory of victory here and want someone to explain it to me.

The ICE deaths we're not talking about

Trump's biggest concentration camp in Texas is rocked by 3 deaths in 33 days - one deemed 'homicide' after a violent encounter with guards. The ICE detention death rate is 10X (!!) Biden's final year

People are dying in ICE detention facilities at nearly 10 times the rate of the Biden years. It will likely get worse.

In recent days I’ve felt deeply impacted by the images of authoritarian violence coming out of Minnesota, and I’ve heard from many community members that they’re similarly disturbed by Trump’s anti-migrant attacks and illegal rights violations perpetrated by his masked ICE paramilitary force. (1/8)

I regret B.C.’s decision to end its decriminalization pilot and am disappointed the province has not released an independent evaluation. When governments change course on life-and-death issues, Canadians deserve to see the evidence. See more 👇

The Trump-Vance administration just used your taxes to pay for an ICE agent to do this to a 21-year-old kid, who was only protesting because another ICE agent killed a mother of three, who was only there because ICE agents are kidnapping your neighbors

Nice to see Hydro-Québec start to allow customer vehicle-to-grid export systems to supply grid capacity.

A 25kW system like this can provide around $4000 in grid value every year, at lower cost than almost any other resource, keeping rates down.

BC Hydro should do the same.

This should be headline news.

LNG can't claim the credit, it was the enormous amount of renewables China installed last year - enough to power all of Canada.

And oil will be next to fall, with over half of vehicles sold in China now EVs.

Canada needs a new export strategy.

Evidence from British Columbia shows decriminalisation reduced police interference with access to harm reduction — a key public health objective.

Rolling it back didn’t correct failure. It reversed progress.

Full study:
Policing and access to harm reduction services among young people who use drugs and young Indigenous people who use drugs before and after the pilot implementation of decriminalization of personal possession
McAdam et al. examine how decriminalisation reduced policing-related barriers to services, revealing important benefits for young people, including Indigenous.

Look at the tiny North American share of the fastest growing energy source of all time.

This will be looked back on as an era-defining strategic blunder - setting our societies on fire to chase after oil while the sun rises.
