but when we don’t stop to think or allow allies to be our attack dogs without abandon or we cater to respectability politics, we hurt our own. as trans people, we must be kinder to each other than we are, especially to trans women

when i read that vox article i started crying halfway through….i know as trans people we are hyper vigilant of how the cis majority sees us and judges us which is why we are so quick to attack what even at a glance can be seen as bad for us in our own spaces
