This is such a great take and it gets to something that suffuses how people talk about straight women—a kind of double-speak in which we argue heterosexuality is bad because it oppresses women but also the hetero women are equal perpetrators of this and need to be disciplined.
Heterofatalism is one thing but victim blaming is insane. We know women also uphold patriarchy even if they're also oppressed by it but queer people need to stop being so smug as if we also don't uphold patriarchy
