I’m assuming these people who claim to “protect women and children” all have a current DBS check?
December 3, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Agreed. Normalise driving bans for not being of the required standard.
People would soon find alternatives and lobby for improvements to public transport and active travel infrastructure.

“I need a new wrap” as the fist thing she said 🤣
Going to need some more driving lessons too.

And don’t demolish Westminster. It’d make a lovely museum!

I would love that, but then I’m a huge fan of Germany, with a large capital and several decent sized cities each with a thriving economy.
Lived in and loved London, but it is not healthy for it to so dominate the UK economy and politics.

Electrify all the main lines and put the Minister for Transport’s desk on the platforms at Birmingham New Street until it’s done.
HS2 would have been so much less costly if Osborne hadn’t increased the top speed and we hadn’t tunnelled so much of it.
November 29, 2025 at 9:03 AM
Wish they’d started HS2 by connecting Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester.
Then branch up to Scotland and down to Heathrow, Old Oak Common (crossrail) and connect to HS1.
That Euston terminus is idiocy.

Sounds like we need more passenger capacity on a high speed link to London. If only somebody would come up with that idea.

Emergency Braking should be an option, that is accompanied by the Remove Spike In Steering Wheel option.
Don’t pick emergency braking? You get the steering wheel spike.

I don’t see anyone from Clacton in that image.
November 25, 2025 at 9:30 PM
And now Diaz… lovely run, didn’t go for it this time. And ends up like Salvesen’s at Blackburn.

We could / should be four up.
November 25, 2025 at 9:12 PM
How much do the cameras cost though when built as a commodity across millions of vehicles?
Given how massive vehicles are, anything that prevents drivers going over something in their blind spot should be welcomed.

Driving at up to 80mph in a 40 zone?
Absolutely vile behaviour. Agree on a life ban from driving.
November 25, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Well, they might be more aware of the pain at 5mph, true.
But only because death is likely painful yet short.
November 24, 2025 at 7:30 AM
Congratulations! What a fab thing to do.
November 23, 2025 at 2:54 PM
It’s also so very crap unless you take the time to give it precise instructions.
The Deserter podcast had a great review where they pointed out AI just gives the most likely response, which is often to finish with “I’ll get back to you on that”.
It has no way to get back to you. 😂

Congratulations on the doctorate!

Very definitely more than any of those losers have ever achieved.
November 17, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Perhaps your government could look at the costs to the NHS of people who regularly cycle against those who drive to work?
What are the externalities on pollution of cycling in the hills against taking the Range Rover to the gym?
Looks to me like another short sighted populist approach to government.

I’m old enough to remember when right wingers called people Snowflakes if they didn’t like hate speech.
As ever the bar is much lower for their precious hurt feelings.
