Not OP or who you replied to (but Blue Sky gave me the notification anyway) and I didn't even manage to accept a friend request in Stoat because the UI didn't even let me see the request itself on mobile. So it might be fine elsewhere but I gave up on it.

For anyone playing the new ACNH update and noticing some lag, I found a reddit comment that describes this issue (linked in a reply) and then confirmed it myself.

After entering and leaving the hotel the game starts to lag. Entering and leaving another building fixes it. ✨

Entering and leaving a different building afterwards or restarting the game fixes it. Every time you enter and leave the hotel again, regardless of what you do in there, the framerate tanks again. I have two playable characters on my island, and I *only* get this problem with the character that has built the first room. I can enter and exit the hotel with my other character just fine, performance isn't affected then. It's a strange one but hopefully it will be patched.

Partner and I put up our tiny tree in our giant window sill today. It was very nostalgic and healing to go through our ornaments again. 🎄

So the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 having its IGA awards retracted for GenAI is huge, don't miss the other retraction of an Indie Vanguard recipient because the company (ModRetro) that made their game carts is making a real life weapon company themed handheld. Like what??

Why were Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and one Vanguard retracted? The Indie Game Awards have a hard stance on the use of gen AI throughout the nomination process and during the ceremony itself. When it was submitted for consideration, a representative of Sandfall Interactive agreed that no gen AI was used in the development of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In light of Sandfall Interactive confirming the use of gen AI art in production on the day of the Indie Game Awards 2025 premiere, this does disqualify Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from its nomination. While the assets in question were patched out and it is a wonderful game, it does go against the regulations we have in place. As a result, the IGAs nomination committee has agreed to officially retract both the Debut Game and Game of the Year awards. Each award will be going to the next highest-ranked game in its respective category: Debut Game: Sorry We’re Closed Game of the Year: Blue Prince Both à la mode games and Dogubomb have been notified and were invited to record acceptance speeches. Since the IGAs premiere took place just ahead of the holiday break, we expect both acceptance speeches to be recorded and published in early 2026. The second update is in regards to an Indie Vanguard recipient. Initially discovered through itch.io’s Game Boy Competition 2023 and later played on cart, Gortyn Code was selected as an Indie Vanguard due to their impressive work in GB Studio and for crafting such an amazing throwback for the modern day. The physical cart of Chantey is being produced and sold by ModRetro, and it is the sole marketplace where it can be purchased. The IGAs nomination committee were unfortunately made aware of ModRetro’s vile nature the day after the 2025 premiere with the news of their horrid and disgusting handheld console. As the company strictly goes against the values of the IGAs, and due to the ties with ModRetro, the Indie Vanguard recognition has also been retracted. The decision does not reflect Gortyn Code, but ModRetro alone. Chantey remains a wonderful throwback to the Game Boy era. We encourage you to continue following their journey on itch.io. The official Indie Game Awards website has been updated to reflect these changes, and we’re doing our best to update the main video on the Six One YouTube channel with the YouTube editor. We sincerely appreciate your patience and feedback on both matters. As gen AI becomes more prevalent in our industry, we will better navigate it appropriately. The organizational team behind the ceremony is a small crew with big ambitions, and The Indie Game Awards can only grow with your help and support. We already can’t wait for the 2026 ceremony!

Crying (with laughter). I just submitted an online claim on my insurances' online pharmacy (it may or may not be covered) and while I was looking at previous medications it suddenly refreshed and logged me out "after 15 minutes of inactivity". The audacity.
