Look, some of my posts have questionable premises

The subtext is that if you didn't get maggot houseparties and 90s rock were really dismal shit and that ruins a lot of illusions

The idea that civilization is a thin veneer on our brutish nature maintained by social sanction was somewhat right, but William Golding should have written about schoolboys quickly reverting to a state of drawing wolves with huge tiddies

Remember in The Maltese Falcon (1941), Humphrey Bogart refers to the younger sidekick as a 'gunsel'?

Everyone, including censors, assumed it was slang for a criminal with a gun, and so the word then BECAME slang for a criminal with a gun.

But actually 'gunsel' was Yiddish slang for 'prison bitch'.

In honor of National Poetry Day, the greatest parody rewrite of all time:
Screen cap of parodic version of William Blake's "The Tyger" that begins:
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
(Not sure if I spelled that right)
What immortal hand or eye
Could fashion such a stripy guy?
What the hammer that hath hewn it
Into such a chonky unit?
Did who made the lamb make thee,
Or an external franchisee?

My son just told me he doesn't want to watch a film he doesn't know the plot to because he won't know what is going on. He reads voraciously but he is just incapable of understanding video content. That's really, really funny
