Consider all typos my own fight against the hegemonic grasp english has on all of us.
@margaret.bsky.social I would love a years long psyop on Robert to find out what his blind spot is in history and then have him on to talk about a fake event. I would want to see where his brain takes it.

@nolore.bsky.social in. It sure what the stats are for being opposed to the genocide of Palestinian people here in Canada, but in regards to your daily news segment today it’s crazy that the public are the ones trying to inform the media and politicians about this. This timeline bricks my brain.

@nolore.bsky.social a dead give away that the daily news segment was a joke was saying that the Conservatives would be announcing an actual policy.

The story did give a “The goggles! They do nothing!” Vibes.

I’m pretty robust, and I can move pretty well. But given how much trouble I’m having just living with one shoulder immobilized post surgery, I can’t imagine how hard it must be for older people who go through this.

I really do need to stop being single, everything is harder lol.

Nothing like asking people for help and having them go out of their way to life your spirits.

Don’t let the right wing pepper asshats fool you. People do want to help each other.

My surprise deep dive into assistive technology has been an eye opener.

I always knew all the “weird” stuff people made fun of because it made an easy task even easier had a use. But I’m surprised just how useful it is.

@nolore.bsky.social I probably missed it as I’m catching up on Sandy and Nora, but is there a link to the interview you both did on The Boost?

Rep Zephyr’s speech flips 13 GOPs, trans bills die in Montana

Trans people have been scapegoated so effectively (among older people) that we're flooded with models of how to hate.

But when people hear the love behind why we stand up for each other, we win.

Bravo, @zoandbehold.bsky.social!

Well it’s looking like I’ll need shoulder surgery.

That’s not the best news ever but also at least I get to experience a completely new thing.
March 6, 2025 at 6:04 PM
So it turns out dislocating my shoulder is a totally new experience. It going back into place didn’t hurt as much as people said it would.

But having to learn to use my left hand is going to be a trip.

Part of me wants to go visit my old job to see how absolutely wrecked they are going to be from the tariffs.

If I did I’d probably get into fist fights with at least three of the shitbag trump douches there though. And that would feel good, but I’d rather not go to jail.

This past weekend was an absolute garbage weekend in Germans of productivity. I basically rotted in bed all Friday. Which as a dude in my 40’s ment my back was sore Saturday and Sunday.

Getting old is a blast.

All the grey in my beard does look awesome though!

I’m going to have to go outside of my comfort zone a lot as a personal trainer. Once I’m basically a potato of an introvert.

So I am going to a bisexual support group tonight, and then next Monday I’m going to a dance class. That is terrifying.

@nolore.bsky.social I made a joke under one of your posts about royal rumbling the parliament for high speed rail. I’m going to assume they read that and decided to announce the new line.

I’m at the halfway point of my course. And I’m starting to think on how I can keep this learning thing going when I’m done.
With my medication working wonders I might actually start reading physical books. I’ll probably start with How to Blowup a Pipeline.

Renewing my first aid today. Let’s see if I start getting light headed when they show blood! Ptsd is great.

We are doing role play trainers/clients and it is stressful. But I am really glad I can do it here in class with the other students.

Will that prevent me from being anxious later? Hell no. But it’s still nice.

Day 18 of my course. The thing that strikes me most about being properly medicated for my adhd is how much less stress I feel about testing. It’s a nice switch from way back in my school days.
February 4, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Completed the first section of my course with a 92%

That feels good.

One nice upside to not working in the trades anymore is that I can actually use moisturizing products without attracting even more sawdust to stick to my skin.

It’s a definite to be able to turn pages of a book without licking my fingers.

It’s a weird and sorta disheartening that even at 43 I still have to check the “temperature” of a group to see if it’s okay to be out among them.
Maybe I’m feeling that more because of the b.s. in the us this week.

The only reason I use Facebook is to stay connected with my father. I don’t want to lose him, but when he passes on I’ll probably never sing into Facebook ever again.

I remember when it started, it was such a cool place to get in you can with people. And now it’s just ai crap.

Day 10 personal training course. We are transitioning to more on the floor stuff rather that just classroom learning.

Makes me want to go to a university even more. I’ve love all this book learning. If anyone knows a sugar daddy/mommy/themperor send them my way.

Day 9 of learnin’ we have our second test today, and we are being taught by the owner as a substitute. It will be interesting to see how a teacher that started teaching at the end of the 80’s teaches.

I’m on my way to play some magic the gathering with random people. It’s been like a few decades since I’ve played in person with anyone. This should be fun.

Brightly coloured cardboard always make me happy.
