Apologies to @knoxharrington.bsky.social who I was critical of pre season for ‘moaning’ about Liverpool’s lack of depth and physical height. Problem is if he could see it, why couldn’t the professionals at the club? Or worse, are they just not bothered about us having these seasons of nothing? #LFC

I can’t bring myself to pin it on Slot when you look at what he’s got to work with. For years we’ve been leaving ourselves short and every couple of seasons we have one of these where everyone is fucked. Klopp had seasons like this. There is enough evidence to suggest this isn’t on Slot. #LFC

FA Cup isn’t valuable enough to warrant signings.
Slot should get 5th with this squad. If he doesn’t he’s gone.

Feels like #LFC are again as far away from being a title winning side as we ever were pre Klopp. Feels like everything he built has already gone. The squad makes no sense. A load of players that don’t suit each other and a manager that appears to have forgotten how to use them.

Just got no idea what to think. There’s been genuine bad luck in every game we’ve lost this season, the players lost a friend (which is surely a far bigger factor than is being credited) and the squad is in transition. But at what point do we consider that Claudio Ranieri also won the league? #LFC

Have tried to keep the faith with Nunez and focus on the positives but it’s so apparent he’s not at the level if we want to regularly compete for the biggest trophies. Even as a backup he will cost us in big moments.

Gakpo looked a little out of place on the left under Klopp, mainly I think, because he isn’t that fast getting in behind. He’s looked more comfortable there under Slot now we attack slightly differently. I think the same might be true for Elliott and I think we might see him there a fair bit. #LFC
