Informed that it is the 65th birthday of It's A Square World today.

Me and @tiltaraiza.bsky.social had a chat about the show a while back & speculated that it may have included the first ever Dr Who parody, with Clive Dunn as Hartnell's Doctor.

If you have ever been inspired creatively by a favourite movie you will understand the love that radiates from this project. Beautiful artwork inspired by #StarTrekTheMotionPicture and the amazing V'ger #Voyager plotline, painted by my dear friend, #PaulHarraway

Hope it is going well Stephen. I've messaged you here and via Facebook with regards to our GSPS AGM, I hope you received the messages okay? Just wondered if there is a better way to get in touch? Regards, Richard

Yep, Jack Duckworth himself! He was quite a renowned singer and had many albums produced by Derek Wadsworth. Derek also went under the name Daniel Caine and produced and conducted the only released version of 'The A-Team' TV scores.

It absolutely is! I was corresponding with Derek to arrange an interview slot for Bill Tarmey and we got chatting all things 'Space: 1999'. I invited him in when Gerry Anderson was a special guest and gave them a wonderful reunion as they'd not worked together for 15 years - Fandersontastic!

They get all the best ideas from TV! I got to know the composer of the music that goes with that title sequence, lovely chap called Derek Wadsworth. He gave me one of the last of his privately pressed CD's of the score long before it was released. He produced Dusty Springfield, Bill Tarmey and more.

That's a brilliant post! I just realised I missed the 207th anniversary of my own stunt (did you know I was a time traveller?) stjohnswaterloo.org/usher-the-cl...

The professional rejection of one’s creative and comedy efforts is a funny old thing, ironically. I’ve always loved writing and performing my own comedy material, but nothing has ever been commissioned, it’s always rejected. ALWAYS. It’s like a jigsaw piece that never fits any puzzle. Ah well…

Loved this in-depth talk about the 1991 Goon Show documentary I made with Mike Pointon. Spike, Harry, Mike Bentine, Angela Morley & Eric Sykes gave unstintingly & Ted Kendall found terrific clips. It led to Ted and I restoring The Last Goon Show Of All from the original 1” eight-track master tapes.

I have deleted my accounts with them and I'm going to study up on how to encrypt and protect my creative property in the future. Eternal vigilance is the price of creative freedom?

Great movie! I was born a few hundred yards away from where the petrol station scenes were filmed. The pub across the road that’s in shot from time to time was one of my local haunts when I still lived in Hull.
