Punch a fascist.

Similar moments:
Humbug! The Scroogest of all takes a fall (The Sun Makers)
Even candy and forced cheer goes down the tubes in the end (The Happiness Patrol)

And struck much harder by the crucial plot point of two characters’ remarkable resemblance
The casting went for acting ability over any physical similarity whatever, with a revealing portrait painted to (shrug) look like neither, which was occasionally distracting.
But the actors were excellent.

Much of Andrew Davies’ superb version (and Charles Dickens’, which the adaptation inspired me to read twenty years ago) I remembered, though two things surprised me:
I’d thought the J.R.-style Who Killed…? to be an ongoing whodunnit but, it turned out, solved in a couple of episodes

Though it’s outstanding Gillian Anderson who owned every scene (however much Charles Dance tried to prise her away)
But Anna Maxwell Martin, Denis Lawson, Timothy West, Alun Armstrong, Burn Gorman, Phil Davis, Pauline Collins, Ian Richardson, Carey Mulligan…!

I’m not saying do not walk away, definitely do that. But take care of yourself. If you can avoid engagement, do.

I’m 110kgs of fifty-something year old white man, so I carry a TON of privilege, meaning a racist woman and her weasel gang of flag shaggers found it hard to intimidate me in public

Honestly, he might be genuinely lovely, or he might turn out to be a milkshake duck. I don't care which, because what matters is the action he took and the fearless way he took it.

He will have done something bad at some point. It's inevitable for a man in his forties.

That does not, CANNOT, detract from the action he took in that moment, the man in the white shirt, tackling and subduing a killer and preventing him killing more.

That action is heroic.
