Very disappointed to learn that there’s a big flood on Gallery Road in Dulwich Village due to yet another catastrophic water main burst - the responsibility of Thames Water. Gallery Road is currently closed at the south circular. We’re on the case with TW.

Curious to receive an email from the other place suspending an account I haven’t posted to for a decade … 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Not at all surprised- having an ongoing ‘beef’ (as the kids say) with the parent of a friend of one of my kids who justifies frequent short car journeys on the basis they’re using an EV.

Might be time to think about re-upping this

Looks like my algorithm is prioritising the phrase “Train nerds assemble”. I like trains, but I’m not sure I count as a nerd. My son however….

I'm horrified, as is @margynewens.bsky.social to learn of a very serious crash at the junction of Townley Road and East Dulwich Grove early this morning.
A refuse lorry operated by a private contractor overturned onto the pavement outside Alleyns school destroying a tree and damaging the pavement.

It’s the central reservation that currently stops you turning right, maybe the new upgraded traffic light is still to be installed … but it’s an excellent entry point into quiet streets

One of the joys of being a councillor is the ability to support brilliant local initiatives- so @margynewens.bsky.social and I were delighted to be able to give £15k to support the replacement of the disabled roundabout in Dulwich Park.

Very good to meet with @margynewens.bsky.social and Southwark and Lambeth MLA Marina Ahmad today to discuss residents requirements for better speed reductions and improved pedestrian crossings on Lordship Lane.

We know the main reason that people don’t cycle is because they think it’s unsafe … but it appears the opposite is true, cycling makes you live longer in better health.

A chilly morning but some warm conversations on the doorstep in Dulwich Village this morning with @margynewens.bsky.social grateful to @esmehicks.bsky.social and Cabinet members Jasmine Ali, Evelyn Akoto and Natasha Ennin for joining us

We’ve spent so much effort to turn the junction of Calton Avenue and Dulwich Village into a great public space. Trust Thames Water to spoil it with a permanently overflowing water fountain which is now icing over.

Fantastic to join hundreds of people in Dulwich for Carols by the Crib in Dulwich Square. Thank you so much to St Barnabas for organising.

Dulwich Village right now. A high powered car crashed into a traffic light on the wrong side of the road outside a primary school. This is why we make our roads safer. This driver must pay for the damage they've caused and should be banned from driving. @margynewens.bsky.social

Very good to see that Southwark’s e-bike bays are being so well used. No bikes on the pavements here.
