Trump’s appalling comments about British soldiers caused real pain to veterans and their families.

I’m glad he’s backed down, but it doesn’t change my view of him or this Government’s failed approach.

Now is the moment to be clear-eyed about the threats facing Britain.

Putin is waging war in Europe, while Trump undermines the alliances that keep us safe.

Defence Bonds would help protect our country and let people invest in Britain’s security.

With Trump in the White House, the US can no longer be treated as a reliable ally.

Britain must step up fast. His tariffs will hurt the British people.

That’s why we’re pushing for a customs union.

Last summer, we secured a two-year visa extension for people on the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

But the Government still only allows extensions in the final 28 days, even though processing takes longer. Lib Dems will keep fighting for justice for Ukrainians.

Boom! Incredible win in the North Cotswolds, coming from nowhere to replace the Greens and beat the Conservatives.

In seats like this and across the country, it’s the Liberal Democrats who can beat the Tories and stop Reform.

We have a national crisis of illegal waste dumping. My experience in Kidlington showed the urgent need for reform with: a national strategy; a step-change in funding to go after criminals; a clear hotline to report incidents; rapid, joined-up response by agencies.

The message to social media giants is clear: if your platform spreads harmful content or relies on addictive and algorithms, you should not be allowed anywhere near our children.

The families of our brave troops killed in Afghanistan - including those from Bicester Garrison - deserve an apology from the US Ambassador to the UK. Donald Trump has said many things I disagree with but none have made me as angry as this disgraceful slur on NATO troops.

Donald Trump can go f**k himself.

Anyone who mocks, demeans or minimises the sacrifices of British troops is no friend of our nation 🇬🇧
