If you're a Swift dev, you know LLMs often struggle. This is in part because of the lack of open source code and also because the docs are hidden behind JavaScript gates that LLMs can't easily access. So someone smart made this. I love it.

sosumi.ai provides Apple Developer documentation in an AI-readable format by converting JavaScript-rendered pages into Markdown.

Behold, the state of SwiftUI layout in Tahoe beta 7! Watch the controls move on mouse-over! Watch the scroll bar disappear!

(This is a TabView of Forms that have .fixedSize(horizontal: false, vertical: true) set on them. There should be no scroll bars. This worked fine before Tahoe.)

Update on this. They do not!

But that probably because there needs to be better documentation.
An LLM would probably do a decent job of writing apps using Suitcase, the syntax of a command line tool is well known and understood. plus it knows how to call all the other commands!

I had so much fun writing this 5 years ago! github.com/Impedimenta/...

Story about my favourite moment at #WWDC25

On Monday, I was sitting with an engineer at a SwiftUI lab at Apple Park.

Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. I looked at them and they showed me a phone, saying:

"Hi, are you Klemens?" (They were mute.)

I nodded.

Today, Alex Lawsen, a researcher at Open Philanthropy, published a detailed rebuttal arguing that many of Apple’s most headline-grabbing findings boil down to experimental design flaws, not fundamental reasoning limits. The paper also credits Anthropic’s Claude Opus model as its co-author.
