My penultimate match at Goodison. Not a classic game but great to see a deserved late equaliser and we were inches away from a last kick winner. Wonderful to see the old ground rocking at the end.

Delighted to be wrong. Extremely professional performance from Everton. Great performances from Branthwaite, Tarkowski, Gana and others.

The biggest long-term significance from Everton’s win yesterday is that we can now start planning properly for the Summer without really doubting what league we’re going to be in (Opta relegation likelihood below). No need to panic this window now and a big opportunity for a squad rebuild.

I posted a potential Everton line-up last night and lots of great interaction with blues, all of whom want the best for our club. But, as a contrast, here is a line-up if we hadn't been forced to sell our best players due to Moshiri & Kenwright's mismanagement. It's a pretty stark difference.

With everyone fit this is how I’d use Everton’s current crop of players. But two wing backs and a creative no 10 needed in this window and a striker and new holding midfielder needed in the Summer plus squad depth.
