@mattcooperlastword.bsky.social Matt I’ve convened the advisory council and we’ve agreed on a new podcast with 3 presenters.. Yourself, Sen. Lynn Ruane and Leo Varadkar. That would be worth a listen!!

If the media could do one thing to grow the Irish language, it would be to slow down the tempo and allow learners to absorb the meaning. Making info campaigns bilingual as opposed to two different versions would be helpful. Ba chóir dúinn tacú le foghlaimeoirí teanga díograiseacha #rtept #aras25

Craoltóir, scríbhneoir agus Gael. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.

Thar na blianta, chruthaigh sé & chuir sé i láthair an t-uafás cláracha do TnaG & TG4. Tá oidhreacht shaibhir fágtha aige dúinn a thabharfaidh inspioráid don chéad ghlúin eile 🕯️

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

@drkevinfong.bsky.social Hey Kevin, Richie here in Ireland. I was in touch a while back about being a primary teaching space / STEM addict. 13 Mins is still my go to. It was a profoundly important piece of work. I was delighted to support 16 Sunsets and really enjoying it. Keep up the great work!

@mattcooperlastword.bsky.social Matt I’d love to hear yourself and Ivan talk about Waterford Airport. We’re crying out for state investment that would help revitalise the south east. There’s investors (council & consortium) ready and yet because it’s not Cork or Dublin it’s slow walked.

There are brilliant female astronauts who have studied hard, battled and qualified to hold that title and role. Thinking of Judith Resnik, Kalpana Chawla, and Christa McAuliffe who gave their lives for science.

Reading a book that’s as dull as dishwater at the moment and yet it has won significant literary awards. Similar experience last year. Either I’m a bit less refined than I think or there’s a mutual ‘wonderful dahling’ vibe from some of the literary award judging. 🤔

@mattcooperlastword.bsky.social Hey Matt, is the small, inconvenient elephant in the room when it comes to Dublin Airport capacity that Waterford airport is crying out for the crumbs it would cost to extend the runway and facilitate 737/A320 class aircraft?

@mattcooperlastword.bsky.social “I want him to cut out the waste and the slackers” says ex minister taking ministerial pension while using podcast paid for by me as one of many avenues for financial gain.

Punch down is a better name for the podcast Matt. I appreciate you tackling this bullshit.

My kingdom for an AI package that simply takes a few pages of educational text and generates a presentation with relevant images. The latest attempt was nearly there.. the bird habitat in Tramore…

Complete with pictures of feckin parrots and Zebras. 🙄

@mattcooperlastword.bsky.social Having a rethink on my PtoP subscription. It’s felt a bit like a CIF ad recently but I think your partner is leading the narrative towards a ‘problems are solved by punching down’ theme and I’m reluctant to financially support that.

Brandon Barker was destined to be a star for Manchester City & England.

But a familiar mix of injury, bad luck and — some say — being too laid-back has left him without a club aged 28.

@hlinehan.bsky.social Hi Hugh, I’m a huge fan of the podcast and really enjoy listening in. If I may offer a gentle criticism of the reaction to Mary Butler’s appointment. It is clear to many that Waterford has to fight against massive influence for state investment.

We’ve got to emphasise why the permafrost is melting. Surprised that’s not more apparent in the article.

So I bought a Bialetti Moka pot to work harder on transitioning from Nespresso to being a full on coffee snob. I may have misunderstood the amounts needed and inadvertently had 6 espressos in one mug with milk. The lesson? RTFM. 🤪☕️🫨😵‍💫
