Today at 11am I'll be remembering my Grandfather. Cecil Bather. 2932683, 5th Bn. Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders (Liverpool Scottish). Killed in action, Mareth Line, Tunisia, March 23 1943, aged just 24. Leaving behind his 22 year old Wife, Leah and 15 month old daughter Sheila. My Mum.

Lucic subbed off after he should have been sent off. All down to the consistency of refereeing. Has massive impact on results when decisions like that are made.

Another game where we’ve been competitive but utterly ineffectual. We’ll be fine this season but we’re far too predictable, lack movement, and an outlet for any chances we do create.

Good thread this to save for the next ‘bloke down the pub’ or indeed ‘elected representative’. Worth noting that ads often have more than 1 ‘leading character’ so percentages need heavily reducing for total share. There is a skew - casts for ads aren’t huge - but it’s nowhere near the noise
Black people have a leading role in 23% of adverts. Asian people in 6% of adverts.
The white score is not given. (More than one group can have a leading role: it is probably 70-80%)

Last day of holiday today. Missus has gone off to watch the ‘entertainment’. I can’t abide it so back in the room with a book. Always a mixed feeling. Has been an utterly lovely 10 days doing nothing more strenuous than some light to mild pottering but looking forward to getting home.

This. City away is always a day for the serenity prayer. We’ve given them a game today. Jan transfer window sees a right back, left back and striker on loan. Progress isn’t always linear. UTFT.
Eight games played with City and Liverpool away already. Comfortably mid table. Branthwaite, Rohl to come back and still some players to bed in.

That’s a very good first half from Everton. Ndiaye superb and causing a City lots of problems. Pickford more than earning his new contract. They’re still a million miles better than us but we giving them a damn good game.
