Interested in making a donation to a non-profit that fights book bans, and/or promotes literacy. More interested in national, not local. Ideas?

"What's your book about?"
The best question you can ask an author.
Also the worst.

After working on my series for 3.5 years, I finally have a tagline. Did I write it? No. My husband spewed it off the top of his head, casual as sipping water. I love, love, love that he listens to me and is so supportive of my journey as an indie author.

I first saw this four years ago. I was moved by it then, traumatized by it now. Please share, I don't think we have that many seconds left.

Eleven years ago today I discovered there's a font called Horse Puke. Probably not the best choice for an indie author to use, but I think it tops the name-that-font game, hands down.

English can be WEIRD. It can also be WIRED and inspire IRE and make you see RED. Lots of word combos here! Share a few in the comments.
But as for the rest of the message? ENOUGH.
PS, I used to teach ESL classes and I admire everyone who tries to tackle English. It's not easy.

My Dev Editor told me that my book is a genre fusion. That sounds good but it's also probably bad when it comes to finding readers. Why are genres so hard to nail?

Agree. But to me a book is not 'flat.' It's bursting with ideas and hard work.

Apparently it's now okay to use authors' published books to teach AI how to write in a human voice, IF said books are purchased, not pirated. Fair use? Methinks not. Authors are not notified or compensated.

Who is planning merch to support their book? My editor insists it's a must. I can see some of it -- bookmarks as free promo materials, maybe a few giveaways. Otherwise, thoughts?
