Christ alive knows what that babbling imbecile is talking about. She must be on crack.
I wonder what Liz Truss imagines "the ancient laws of the British constitution" to be.

With around 8billion people on the planet it is incomprehensible that we have these so called ‘leaders’. The startling aspect is that , almost universally, they are poor examples of humanity and appear to thrive on power and greed. Can we not do better?
Something has to explain why politicians are now so bad youtu.be/B0osc88WDZ0?... Could it be that they’re a bunch of dopamine junkies, in it for the short-term fixes politics gives them?

And to me that’s the frustrating missing aspect of so-called political discourse. If our politicians were far less adversarial I’m convinced more would be achieved for the greater good.
Little shout out to my colleagues. I gave my (annual-ish) research seminar today, and really enjoyed it. I think it’s an under appreciated part of academia - being able to present half-formed work and get a genuine sense of open discussion.

Astonishing that BBC News reports on Wallace show being pulled by showing clips of him in action,

I remember the Winchester computer foul up of the 80s, so it’s not new. How is it that I can see my info on the NHS App but hospital inter-departmental sharing is patchy, often duplicates or omits & communication between hospital & GP seems so unreliable.Invest to unify the systems!
Clinicians are doing far too much admin work in the NHS, which is hugely inefficient. If politicians want to rebuild the service, we need to look at the systems used and employ more support staff to do valuable work to free up doctors, nurses and other NHS staff to focus on patients. 💙

It’s clear to me that the Farage-Trump-Musk axis is working hard to undermine the UK government. Perhaps someone in authority ought to investigate?
All Starmer can really do is retain some degree of dignity in his dealing with the Trump administration. They’re never going to lift a finger for him.

If I’ve understood your pitch- how could ‘Wee man’ Fraser replace Bednarek? And unlikely as it seems it’s about time Bella Kotchap was played- (or sacked surely)
Interested to see what Martin comes up with to replace Bednarek tomorrow. Could see any one of Sugawara, Fraser, Wood or even Bree (Bree mentioned to me just now by @glendelacour.bsky.social) coming in to play four different roles between them, and others shifting around accordingly.

The second best album to come out of the UK in the mid-90s is Songs From Northern Britain by Teenage Fanclub. Still not taking questions.

Excellent album - I think I do however prefer Songs from Northern Britain . Was great to see the band play both back to back in full a couple of years again in London.
#UNCOOLTWO50 45. Teenage Fanclub, 'Sparky's Dream' (1995). The best album to come out of the UK in the mid-90s is Grand Prix by Teenage Fanclub. I will not be taking questions at this time. +1. youtu.be/Cr11GUuTFVU?...
