I guess this must be the never-say-die tree. I initially approached it thinking it might make an interesting, fallen tree photo, and then I noticed it was sprouting vigorous new growth from its apparently dead branches...

We have literally hundreds of beautiful crabapples on our tree this year, and I picked a load yesterday. I've already turned them into several jars of deep red chilli jam. I'm thinking scones and cream cheese...
