This is a slice of Salted Whiskey Honey Pie (You heard me.) Homemade butter crust, and Addie made the whipped cream hiding on the other side!

This bunny came to visit our back door the other day and now I'm spending all of our savings on an elaborate welcoming carrot reception.

In the not-completely-homemade department, meet this doctored-up pizza…Inspired by the Rigatoni slices from Mulberry Street Pizza in SoCal. Started with TJ's “family size” Cheese & Tomato Pizza…added cooked penne, dollops of tomato sauce, and more dollops of fresh ricotta. This was a crowd pleaser.

I really enjoyed the Stranger Things finale, but I thought all the Demogorgon nudity was gratuitous. @netflix.com #strangerthings

Paying our respects 1 last time. The Saugus Cafe is the oldest restaurant in Los Angeles County (And it’s in our neighborhood!) Established in 1886, is closing this weekend, after almost 140 years of operation. There go the best hashbrowns in Santa Clarita. Thank you for a few lifetimes of service!

These Tortilla French-Dip Rollups could’ve used more flavor…but they looked cool. (Not pictured: the dip.)

Whoa...I was surprised by Bil Gaines last night with this sweet broadside for a poem from my book "High Moose Alert"! Blown away by the detail and love that went into this. Thank you, Bill! @bilgaines.bsky.social

Etruscan Testarolli! (The pasta whose name made us all giggle.) It's purportedly Italy's first pasta from around 700 BCE. Topped by a homemade pesto, walnuts, and shaved pecorino. Oh, and yes, that is a homemade rustic Italian loaf on the side. Yum!

Here's an image of a woman rearranging my brain inside a local Mexican restaurant while Santa looks on. Merry Monday, everyone!
