For general non-dexterous work it’s hard to beat a pair of $4 all-purpose leather palm gloves. For more fine-motor ones nitrile-dipped mechanic gloves are awesome.

Well it’s down to 26 and now here come the big winds. Power should hold (we are well inside the overall grid) but wow it’s getting noisy out there.

Another 5 degrees dropped. Whee!

And here we go. Temp has dropped 6 degrees (f) in about 20 minutes.

I have cleaned the kitty box and gotten all garbage out to the alley. I’m not going out again... Our back deck is awesome but will ice over in a heartbeat and my broomball shoes are at the cottage.
