A quick update from me before I return to my plotting corner.
Welcome to 2026
Hi all and welcome to a brand new year! I hope you all have been doing well. My 2025 ending on some very rocky footing, but I survived! To summarize my end of the year, in addition to the other awful events we all have to live with, I had two friendships blow up in an overly dramatic fashion, my wife and I are moving and our new apartment has a (possible) rat infestation, my hormones are still out of wack, and I'm struggling with burnout.

While people can still get colds and the flu, there are a few ailments unique to my world.
One of the more dangerous infections is from a parasitic fungus. Once its spores take root, it spreads and attempts to take over its host’s central nervous system.

Today's unhinged idea has manifested as Don Bologna, the meanest, and shortest, mobster who runs the desert city of Deli with an iron fist.
Really he's a decent guy, just don't owe him money. You may not live long enough to regret it.

Most of the stories I have set in Sylvius take place in the equivalent of the 1920s. There are cars, tractors, indoor plumbing, airships, etc.
Many of the worlds modern conveniences have been made possible from adventurers going into ruins and finding lost technology.
