I make things. Most of those things involve code, but not all of them do.

Currently I'm making a book imposition tool. Check it out at imposify.com!

I want an Internet you can only use if you can solve non-trivial CS problems.
another controversial opinion: if we hadn't unleashed computers on the population at large saying "have fun this with thing, don't worry, you can expend ZERO effort in learning anything about it, it is actually quite uncool to know things" we probably wouldn't be in the mess we are.
Controversial opinion in some circles I run in, but I don't think switching to Linux on their computer that can't update to Windows 11 is going to be a viable option for most people

PDX is such a warzone there isn't even a house available for under 200k.

A Six Button MIDI Controller

The buttons are 3d printed, each containing a Hako Royal keyboard switch. The microcontroller board is a Waveshare 2040-zero. The firmware is QMK with a simple 3x2 layout.

Its purpose is to provide signals to control a lighting system.

You know he's right because people who are constantly online are so much smarter and more functional than everyone else who touches grass and has hobbies and hangs out with loved ones.

Also you can't hear it but I'm still laughing at that picture.

Deliberately and with callous disregard even. It's profoundly horrifying.
I don't know where the hell I'm supposed to talk about this, but my lawyers want me to be vocal.

Heinz gave out the wrong ashes for over 80 families, mine included. We're trying to have a class action lawsuit so that all families involved may find some justice.

Always wanted to have a D&D/Pathfinder game where the party was a bard troupe named "The Moammar Gandalfis".

Is there a lot of violence in Utah? I'm hearing about shooting and stuff and it just seems like a warzone.

Really hope everyone is okay.

I want something like a Nokia 6760. Absolutely no features whatsoever except maybe phone and texts. BUT ALSO a 5G hotspot.

One thing I can count on as this world continues to go more and more mad: THEY WILL NEVER REMAKE THE SPICE WORLD MOVIE.

One of the most gratifying aspects of being a programmer (for me) is how once you get to a certain point of infrastructure on a project, and if you haven't blown off both your feet in the process, it becomes breathtakingly easy to iterate on your previous work.

Did some work over the weekend on a totally revamped UI for my Cyberpunk MUD. Instead of having one window, it's going to be a desktop-like environment that can have multiple aspects of the world on display simultaneously. I also added a filter to make it look like a failing CRT.

Anyone remember Gary Johnson? Remember how when everyone else was horrible in 2015 he just wanted to have open borders and weed for everyone and people hated him for it? BOY HOWDY we sure did miss so many bullets there!

Hey @washingtonpost.com you need to have Jeff fix your ad-blocker blocker. I can click on your articles and read the content and I don't have a subscription.

This is an obvious error and I am offended. Please respect the fact that we don't give you money because we don't want to read your drivel.
