this is the sum of what you are accomplishing every time you screenshot some clown car from X née Twitter, The Website For Nazis Owned By Nazis Populated By Nazis With Rules And Moderation That Cater To Nazis, just to dunk on it.

This is what you are doing not only for yourself but your followers.

I often get this with women's history. Marital rape and abuse was normal. Literally abolished within living memory. They don't want to believe their parents and grandparents lived, and participated, in societies of extreme cruelty.

But they just did. It's childish to ignore that fact.

Like it's much easier to believe that it's the TikToks making the kids think they have autism, than it is to accept that for the entirety of human history we treated neurodivergent people with unimaginable cruelty

I get why they resist, but it's a massive barrier to any kind of progress

The same way they'd like to imagine the children who make their phone were paid a decent wage, or their burger didn't suffer *that* much, they think society can't really have been as awful as it was

Because the alternative is rewiring your entire outlook on the world

I know it's all the rage to dunk on the phobes but their self contained "reality" is not yours and you have more allies than it appears, remember that.

You have to stick to your fucking principles, otherwise you're just fucking posturing

Did you care about AI or did looking like you care about AI make you feel like you were caring about something that matters?
