It is our civic duty to care for each other, even if we don't like each other that much. That is the social contract.

I may express disdain for humanity, because I feel disdain when I see the behavior of the majority, but I wish no harm.

Being COVID conscious is about that.

"Are you going to mask indoors forever?"

No, just until I die or stop caring about being alive and healthy.

Unfortunately, people like you have made sure COVID is around everywhere, all the time.

As an autistic adult, evolving relationships often don't meet our needs.

It's vital to seek connections that respect and fulfill OUR needs, rather than conform to expectations that don't align with our true selves.

With everything so seemingly terrible these days & no sign of anything remotely hopeful in the near future, I thought you might need this photo of a baby giraffe.

The majority of allistic ppl in my life feel so entitled to crossing my clear and directly communicated boundaries even knowing that it causes me severe distress and pain that they get more upset with me standing up for myself than they are with knowing they are traumatizing me.
Boundaries aren’t walls - they’re invitations to clarity and connection.

For autistic humans, boundaries are often about survival.

They protect our energy, help us avoid burnout, and create space for us to thrive.

Setting a boundary isn’t selfish - it’s a way of honoring your needs and showing up authentically in the world.

Often, saying no is the most loving thing you can do - for yourself and others.

Boundaries aren’t just about keeping things out - they’re about making room for what truly matters.

Our household has COVID, primary school the likely source. Once again our community is awash with this virus, the 2nd-3rd major spike this year without any v ‘low’ period. Every (re)infection does damage so pls work to minimise spread, to protect yourself & others. It’s not another common ‘cold’. 1/

The Great Con.

My FB feed. Full of smiling faces out and about having fun… dressing up and parties.

In the background.

Unexplained stomach upsets. Tired all the time. Off work for over a week with the second bout of pneumonia in as many years… etc etc.

Ngl I’m sad and nervous about so many people moving away from twitter

This destabilizes crowdfunding and there’s archives and info that will be lost

Receipts being harder to pull up with everyone’s memories being compromised for different reasons including trauma & Covid

This feels so purposeful

TL;DR

C19 probably thins your bones and makes you prone to broken bones.

The cytokines that fight infection mediate the changes.
