I use the feature where you can have them sprinkle posts into your home feed. It helps me remember that I have them and it is not too annoying. Besides, I can also go into the 'Only Posts' (recommended! very good!) feed if I want to catch up with people seriously.
I kinda need to check out feeds more. I do follow some, but mostly rather looking at my home feed.

artists!

you can make your own media tab, here's how!

-log in to skyfeed.app
-click "feed builder"
-copy the settings below, make an art tag/keyword
-add an icon and a name/description, copy that link.

now you can add that link in your bio, and clicking it will show ONLY your tagged art!

Yes! The hashtags work a little different here as in that they put you on the feeds! People can follow feeds that are interesting to them, and either check them out on their own or have them sprinkled into their main feed.

Each feed should list in their “about” what hashtag gets your post on there.
ooooh so even if the hashtags are not clickable they are actually useful??? im so sorry im an idiot lmao

Thank you so much for this, ill look into it a bit more and try to understand how it works !
But will definitely be more active so thank you for your time !!

Also, if you click the FEEDS tab on a profile, you get a list of their feeds. Artists often have feeds for their art for example. So if you like someone’s art, but uh… let’s make up an example.. don’t wanna follow all their shitposting about an underpants skullman, just follow the art feed instead.

New users, you have to follow WAY more people here for an active timeline than you did on Twitter.

If this place feels dead, you’re almost certainly not following enough other users.

There’s no centralized algorithm that just puts stuff in front of you - although you can subscribe to feeds.
