… the latest round of bulldozing by this administration at the department of education is now personally affecting my work. One of the technical assistance providers – who helps ensure that the data I collect is robust and useful – has had their contract abruptly eliminated.

A friend recommended that we get "screaming pillows" so we can schedule a once-a-day scream into a pillow session and I'm feeling this so hard today.

ICYMI: We @kff.org have been monitoring the federal health data that went offline — and analyzing it when it comes back to see what, if anything, changes.

I use this data source for public health grant writing, etc. It helps to focus funding to where it is most needed.

This level of rewriting reality is extraordinarily dangerous.
The CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) webpages and data seem to have been scrubbed. These helped prepare public health responses by identifying geographical areas of the U.S. that may need extra resources during disasters, outbreaks, etc. I don’t think this admin cares if the vulnerable die.

The scope of Trump's illegal move to freeze federal funding is unprecedented and could have devastating consequences across the country for real people.

It is a massive overreach and he must reverse course immediately and follow the requirements of the law.

This is incredibly cruel.

Not only does it include research grants, it also includes programmatic grants which often serve the most vulnerable in our communities. Nearly all of my clients have programs funded by federal grants.

This makes me sick.
All Federal grants and loans have just been suspended by the Trump administration, including research grants, on which many people rely to pay the bills. Again, I find myself speechless. Link below.
