Dylan Larkin is right: Canada’s top players (Crosby, MacKinnon, McDavid etc) have all played in the World Championship when they’ve been available. Despite the bonds they built at the National Team Development Program, the US has historically had a hard time getting its’ best players to go.

The NHL’s victory lap after Four Nations makes me nauseous. Let’s not forget who skipped out on two Olympics just because they were in the wrong time zones (and they ”didn’t even get to show highlights on their website” 😢).

The whole Makar/Harley/McAvoy/Hughes mess is laughable. How can a pro league’s top brass be this clueless? Oh wait, they’ve never organized a proper international tournament. Maybe next time. (In 9-11 years).
