Ok, those are more the size of what I would expect from a hand powered crane. I was seeing the scale of it wrong and thinking it would like launch a 32 foot boat, which I couldn't really be done by hand.

I think I would launch another day. This boom looks pretty big, hard to see scale, but looks like it’s for bigger boats.

Made it all the way to the end. It’s relaxing watching animals bring themselves

So Sorry, it’s hard to lose a long term friend

I wouldn’t change acidity, but would add organic matter, water retention and lighten the soil. I don’t think you can go wrong.

We use skirting and belly wool, stuff that isn’t viable for fibre.

My wife is the gardener and we have had pellets made out of our ‘waste’ wool. She loves them, they provide a slow release nitrogen (and other nutrients) and they hold moisture so a potted plant might need water every other day instead of daily.

Just recently we started selling bags of it at market

Wood has gotten a lot tougher over the years. When I was a teenager the 6 lb maul (sledgehammer splitter) just went split wood so easy. Now, not so much.

They put a liter of water in me (IV) on the 20 minute ride to the hospital. By the time I arrived I was feeling fine and BP back to normal range. But there were 15 minutes in the field that I don’t remember a lot.

Spent a few hours in ER to be told I should take it easier.
I/we should listen to ourselves and set reasonable expectations for ourselves.
Diagnosis was heat exhaustion with fainting reaction.

Sorry to hear about Chaco, always hard to be loosing one of the favorites.

We have the end of year project that wraps up next week. We both should try to get some time off and enjoy our sheep.

Sometimes they aren’t the best with social skills, but the love is always there. 🐏 ❤️

I don’t know to congratulate you or make a fake snarky comment.

AI is so hot in the market, you’ll probably get an investor looking to park a billion dollars in your adventure.

I’m sure the sheepies asked how you trip was before mentioning that the would really like more treats.

What a bunch of BS. So Farmers who just had a terrible year, are not lining up to say "I want a new tractor". They are "How am I going to be in business next year." They need reliable markets, not $20k off a half million dollar combine.

Yea, deluxe Halloween pumpkins bought just for decorations, but, we got some good use out of them.
December 8, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Yea that is a different level than what we have. I’m glad ours can just be mowed it needed.
