Volunteers have been helping to clear the Foss in town and along its banks.

Tim had a haul last month and on Saturday there was a good morning’s litter picking with 10 volunteers. We nearly ran out of room on the boat due to the number of trolleys and bike.

Hi Rob
You kindly shared a video of some otters on the Foss with a couple of stills.
Would we be able to share across social media platforms? (And if so, would you object to one of them being Musk’s😡 outlet?)
Many thanks.

On Friday another team of 5 were out kick sampling in the river Foss at Willow Bank, New Earswick, York.

Sampling involves agitating the river bed for 3 minutes and collecting the contents in a flat bottomed net.
Then clearing large stones for 1 minute.
