I think the internet is at its best when it's an idle fancy machine. We should be making it better at answering questions like "What's Bobby Carnavle up to these days?" and less good at inducing mass psychosis.

The upside of brands having not adopted Bluesky en masse is that it's not fill to bursting LCD engagement bait. The downside is I can no longer post "@cadbury: which clown decided to take the little card out of the box of Roses!?" with the expectation that some clown at Cadbury will have to read it

I'm broadly in favour of furthering the body of human knowledge but wish that as a public we could sometimes exercise a veto, like "maybe right now isn't the time to wake up Shelob guys"
