It is said that I am the natural enemy of God.
The current X/Grok omnishambles really does throw this into stark relief.
The neoliberal attitude that treats some crime as irredeemable mortal sin and other crime as cunning business sense would be hard to reconcile if you don't grasp that to them when capital does it it's not illegal.

I'm directing a short play for a festival of new work in February. It's my first time directing anything in about a decade. We kicked off tonight with a read through. I may use this space to chronicle the journey so apologies if I don't provide my usual quota of dumb jokes. #speirgorm #theatresky

Ever have a moment where your brain just goes Noir:

It was December 29th. I was looking for frozen perogis in the Eurasia supermarket on Talbot Street. The in-store PA was blaring Evanescence and t.A.T.u and I couldn't help but feel something strange was just around the corner.

I think the internet is at its best when it's an idle fancy machine. We should be making it better at answering questions like "What's Bobby Carnavle up to these days?" and less good at inducing mass psychosis.

The upside of brands having not adopted Bluesky en masse is that it's not fill to bursting LCD engagement bait. The downside is I can no longer post "@cadbury: which clown decided to take the little card out of the box of Roses!?" with the expectation that some clown at Cadbury will have to read it

Boards of Canada are genuinely remarkable. I've been listening to them for 15 years (so still a neophyte) and even their oldest stuff still sounds totally of the now.

Should the idiom used to indicate two people are essentially saying the same thing just expressing it differently be transcribed as 'Potayto-Potahto' or 'Potato-Potato' ?

I'm broadly in favour of furthering the body of human knowledge but wish that as a public we could sometimes exercise a veto, like "maybe right now isn't the time to wake up Shelob guys"

So glad for this article by Paulie Doyle on the 'Serious Guys' who flood our media with their repetitive and vacuous arguments in support of EU militarisation, ending Irish neutrality, US FDI and developer-led policy at all costs.

New Old Man milestone - I saw a band I loved as a teen advertising a gig next year and reached out to an old school pal to be like 'haha remember them'

Anyway we're going to the gig next year.
