Great question! I've done audience-approlriate overviews on terminology that might come up in everyday conversation and why queer people either consider it cool or not cool, super basics on gender-affirming care and its history, and a primer on pronouns and why they're important to people.

It's rough, but a goddamn ton of organizing for liberation depends on talking to liberals, centrists and politically checked-out people a lot. Not trying to be shining, "respectable" paragons of polite politics, but just being a presence among the people we're trying to organize and mobilize.

It's amazing how much work just doing friendly demystifying for straight people does.

I've been making presentations on queer topics for my workplace, and they've broken shocking amounts of ice. Most people seeing them just haven't been around queerness before, so the gaps get filled by propaganda.

I can see why it would be an unintuitive fight for sure. The spear likes space and straight lines, and Learnie is all in a circle with basically no way to consistently keep space between you and the heads.
