O-ish G in these parts after the supervillain took over the old place, talking college basketball and soccer mostly. CT raised, currently in VT. Tried to save democracy once, but that didn't go so well.

They're out here beating clergy too.
Alt text: A group of armed officers in camouflage uniforms and tactical gear confront a man dressed in black with a clerical collar. One officer sprays a chemical agent directly into the man’s face as he recoils, eyes shut tight and head turned from the spray. Other officers stand close by, heavily armed and wearing helmets, goggles, and protective gear. The man appears to be a pastor, as suggested by his attire. The scene is tense and chaotic, taking place on a city street.

Is it too late to give Sacha Baron Cohen an Oscar for this? Not a damn lie told. 🇺🇸

The worst part is still going to be some middling 16-16 teams in, but this is also terrible.

Reports are that with tourney expansion comes a new opening round - revamping the first four to be 12 AQs and the final 12 at large teams.

Moving all these AQs to the opener ain’t it and is a key reason why tourney expansion harms the smaller schools.
@RoccoMiller8
Per reports, the NCAA is leaning towards a model that places the 12 lowest AQs into the "Opening Round" along with the last 12 at large selections, as part of the 76-team proposal.
That would mean tough league champs play early.
Last year's Opening Round teams would've been:
57. UNCW (27-7)
58. Montana (25-9)
59. Robert Morris (26-8)
60. Wofford (19-15)
61. Omaha (22-12)
62. Bryant (23-11)
63. Norfolk St. (24-10)
64. SIUE (22-11)
65. American (22-12)
66. Mount St. Mary's (22-12)
67. Alabama St. (19-15)
68. Saint Francis (16-17)

This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

Probably about as interesting as talking about NCAA brackets, but yes, I did have the Arizona Cardinals in my Survivor Pool today.

For every horrific act of fascist abuse you’ve seen video of in recent months, there are hundreds that you’ll never even hear about.

A WILD ONE: A man broke his leg during an arrest by ICE at a car wash south of L.A.

ICE has held him under 24/7 guard at a hospital, registering him under a pseudonym, for *37 days* without telling him why.

A judge has ordered his immediate release.
