Democrats are messaging like it's 1980. We need better messengers and a better message — and we need it now.

This Is a Messaging War. Democrats Are Still Asleep.
Donald Trump handed Democrats a golden opportunity yesterday to expose his incompetence.

Good statement. Dems should make this about Trump’s ‘deranged’ views, ‘ego’ and attack on the constitution.
U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich statement on federal grant freeze: "Trump is clearly willing to pummel New Mexicans and the American economy for his twisted and deranged agenda and fragile ego. But the Constitution is clear: the president cannot override, delay, or rescind Congress’s funding laws."

🚨 BOOOOOM!!!

Senator Bennet might have just ended RFK Jr.'s chances of being nominated as HHS Secretary. Watch how he cuts through the BS and asks the tough questions.

THIS is how you do it.

I hope dems don’t take the bait on this. It’s awful, but it won’t move the needle on a GOP senator’s vote.

It will be better to ask RFK Jr. nuts and bolts question about the dept he hopes to lead.

He knows how to be shameless, he doesn’t know how HHS works.

Show that! Don’t play on his turf.
SCOOP: RFK Jr. secretly recorded his second wife during their bitter divorce fight and in one conversation acknowledged he was "polygamous" and blamed her for that. One recording might have violated state law—in a messy saga that ended with her suicide.

Trump is doing everything Putin wants him to do: abandoning our nation’s core values, attacking longtime allies, and picking Tulsi Gabbard for a critical national intelligence role. Putin has us right where he wants us, with his puppet as our President.

by freezing all federal grants, trump is fundamentally transforming the relationship between the executive and congress. he is asserting dictatorial authority over federal spending, transforming congress's lawmaking powers into advisory authority. it is a constitutional crisis

Trump fired the NLRB's pro-worker general counsel and its acting chair.

He's effectively gutted the agency tasked with defending the rights of workers to organize.

Guess who has recently filed lawsuits aimed at invalidating the agency altogether?

Amazon and SpaceX.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

The right to believe is absolute. The right to act on that belief is not. The right to act is limited.
