Maybe. My kids went to school Canada, Norway, Texas, Australia and Scotland. Norway was probably the best, Texas was hands down poorest. Heavy on propaganda and following norms, light on free thinking. And this was a “good” school in a sought after district.

50 years later it still pissed my parents off. Their friends and relatives were dying in Europe while the US was getting rich sitting on the fence.

I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of years in Stavanger. Norway is one of my special places. We could learn a lot from them.
