The bedside-table stack, which is a little more manageable.

The jacket in question! One of *three*, the purchase that launched my 6 month clothes shopping moratorium. 😂 Thank you @morningwitch.com for the beauty

Do yall think these would go together? Y/N?

(I don’t own either one, just outfit daydreaming.)

18. THE TIME WE HAVE. My newest acquisition, a gorgeously-produced and — from what I hear! — emotional card-based duet rpg by @moreblueberries.bsky.social. I can’t wait to try this one. FEELINGS!

I am tired of having a bunch of fantastically interesting tomes of game design on my shelves that I’ll ’read later’, so one of my initiatives for the year is to get into reading them. Complete with a nerdy little Sheets tracker with three-month milestones, and a list of other relevant readings. 😁

17. PAINT THE TOWN RED, a gorgeous tale of vampire angst and ferality. I wanna play this one so bad, gang.

Started my day off reading The Ink That Bleeds, Paul Czege’s guide to immersive journaling games. It offers some intriguing tools to engage with immersion and bleed, as well as some really interesting thoughts and experiences from his own immersive play.

My top 10 most played games on Steam (by total hours), as of the end of '24 and then at the end of '25!

Blue Prince missed out on the '25 top ten by *less than an hour of playtime*, because I casually did a few relaxing runs of Anomaly Collapse during winter break 😅

Next year is gonna be the ten year anniversary of two projects *really* dear to my heart from my webseries era: All For One, a queer genderbent sorority take on The Three Musketeers, and Inhuman Condition, a supernatural therapy series secretly about living with a politicized identity.

Actually, if you're interested in picking up any of the last few pieces available at Envygreen Manor, it seems as though you have just over a day before their doors are properly closed for good.

[side note: the other mind behind Envygreen Manor also launched a new apparel brand, VANISHING VENDOR, but I haven't yet ordered any of their wares yet. That said, I am very intrigued by this vest, and hopefully more coming like it. www.vanishingvendor.com ]

HUSHFALL ARCHIVES: From one of the two major figures behind Envygreen Manor is Hushfall Archives, a newer brand with a really cool, theatrical vibe. They've had collections inspired by Shakespeare, medieval tapestry, and now fandom's beloved Supernatural. Gorgeous stuff. hushfallarchives.com

That said, the Eden boots were the beginning. I saw them when I was freelancing and had no money, and were so far out of my budget they may as well have been exclusively available to residents of the moon.

My second ‘fashion moment’ was my Primavera Vest from Envygreen, which I still treasure.

Reader… I married him.

It still amazes me that the difference between the version of me that averted his eyes from mirrors and only owned t-shirts and jeans & me now is:

- Growing a beard
- Seeing Taliesin Jaffe in these Taft boots and being driven mad with lust for a CLOTHING for the first time in my life

ENVYGREEN MANOR (RIP): Envygreen Manor has closed its doors, and only a handful of its products remain available, so you may need to keep your eyes peeled for secondhand chances. But I ADORE their vests; some of my favourite pieces in my whole wardrobe. envygreenmanor.com/en-ca

MIDNIGHT HOUR: I've had mixed success fit-wise with this fun, gothy brand for hoodies and t-shirts, but by the gods, I love their cardigans. Light, easy to wear, with fun witchy/gothy vibes don't feel kitschy or halloweeny. And some GORGEOUS short-sleeve button-ups, too. www.midnighthour.com/en-ca

LIFE ON MARS: Created by trans mixed media artist Mars Wright, Life on Mars mixes vivid colours with messages of trans joy and queer love. I'm trying to only feature images of pieces I literally own, but there are some really cool cardigans, jackets, etc. I've got my eye on too. shop.marswright.com

STEADY HANDS: Possibly the GOAT of cardigans, with so many bright, fun designs (and a fuckton of anime collabs, though I'm rarely the audience for those). Thick, soft, lush, a little on the heavier side but so excellent. Their hoodies are great & their socks are super cute, too. www.steady-hands.com
December 28, 2025 at 11:17 PM
SLEEPY PEACH: One of my favourite sources of fun, 'whimsical' cardigans. They're beautiful, they're substantial without being overly heavy, and they just feel really great to wear. sleepypeach.com/en-ca

PEAU DE LOUP: I've talked before about my favourite work polos from Peau de Loup, a Canadian apparel brand that focuses on breaking down traditional gendered fits. But I don't just love their polos, their style in general is great (and they have regular sales!!)
