100 days and more than $1,000,000,000 in NIH grants canceled— grants that were set to fund vital research on Alzheimer's, cancer, diabetes, and more.

Research already conducted has been thrown out. But sure, this is supposed to benefit our hardworking communities...

@ophirklein.bsky.social gave a fantastic talk for the NYU Dental School this week and it was truly a joy to introduce him to my lab. Hope to see you back in NY again soon, Ophir!

This is an uncertain moment in science, but I'm committed to doing what I can to support the individuals in my lab and new community at NYU. We have important work to do. Stay tuned for updates. For now: we're hiring! Contact me about opportunities for postdocs and @nyugrossman grad students.

I am also deeply grateful to my PhD & postdoc advisors @valeriejhorsley.bsky.social and Ophir Klein, who so expertly balanced their guidance with allowing me space to find my own path. Their beautiful science and labs have shaped me and I hope to pass their dedication to our next gen of trainees..3/

One of the best things about science is getting to work with brilliant, inspirational colleagues who often become great friends. On my first day in our new space, I am thinking of the many scientist-friends who made it possible and (usually) fun to do research & work towards opening this lab..2/

The Zwick lab has landed in the Regenerative Medicine Institute @NYU! I’m incredibly excited to build a team to study how epithelial organs are patterned and remodeled throughout life, with a major focus on the remarkable changes that occur in the maternal body during pregnancy..1/5
