Err, high speed train (in the EU) is horribly expensive, not the sort of train you take for a daily commute.
The problem is urban planning. We should be able to take a bike to work. Home, work, shopping should be close by, not in distinct districts.

Unfortunately it is not stupidity, it is a deliberate form of propaganda targeted at the stupid people that actually believe and repeat this, so they can keep this war going.

If this is a desktop, try checking the BIOS CMOS battery (CR2032)
I had some really weird behavior once because of that, computer was running fine otherwise, some fellow suggested this in a specific Dell online forum, I was in total disbelief this would help. It did.
