Rest in Power, Assata Shakur. You died as we always knew you would: in freedom. The colonizers will never have the pleasure of having brought you to their twisted version of "justice", but we will always have your legacy to help guide the way to liberation.

This poster honors Rachel Carson, the biologist whose book Silent Spring was released today in 1962. Documenting the harm caused by pesticides like DDT, her advocacy spurred unprecedented grassroots action--and inspired queer women in science for decades. (1/2) Farm Aid had its 40th anniversary fundraiser concert last weekend in MPLS. Founder Willie Nelson & his advocacy for small family farmers is one of the dozens of stories discussed in our new companion guide to RLM's epic poster Century of Struggle: A "Cen-Tree" of People's Movements in the USA.

An oversize zine is spread out next to a pile of heirloom and cherry tomatoes in a clay dish and various squash. One tomato is sitting atop the zine, open to a page with the heading "Rural Organizing". The page includes several illustrations, most prominently of a barn and tractor, with several paragraphs about different 20th century campaigns and issues.
