Nav Canada quasi-retiree. Jets/Bombers/Indie rock.
The NFL is quite the league now. As soon as the ball's over midfield most teams are in field goal range.

Mahomes is in a bad way. Knees aren't supposed to do that.

Ah, the NHL RTSS guys caught me out. Washington has 1 HD chance. Fantastic defensive game by the Jets through two.
Caps have zero high danger chances tonight. It's really rare to see a game where a team doesn't even have one shot between the hashmarks.

Clean breakouts are such a nice thing to watch. I just wish they were a more regular occurrence.

This is the best the Jets have looked in a while. One glaring difference between this game and the game in DC is that the Caps are having some issues with forecheck pressure. They hardly faced any in the last game.

Sniper Stan. Put him at forward, already.

I hope Helle's return isn't a "desperate times call for desperate measures" thing. I get that it could feel like an emergency for certain people. It's worth noting that we now have a proper idea of the quality of the skaters that we'd never get if he were healthy. Shaky, to say the least.

As a final point, two Western Conference teams decided today that they weren't where they needed to be and moved in accordance with that feeling, for better or worse. What would it take for Winnipeg's hesitater-in-chief to do that in season?

Also, even if the Jets were interested they couldn't get near that package. They don't have very many assets other than this year's impending lottery pick.
Minnesota's certainly rolling the dice on Hughes, unless this is a planned one year rental and then a trade to say, New Jersey. Still, as a rule, if you get the best guy, you win the trade. Hughes is the best guy.

Comrie isn't good and Helle, at least in the regular season, is elite, so there's that. Still think the biggest issue is speed, and the new guys aren't helping, but even the returning skaters are quite a bit slower than last year. I just had a quick peruse of the Edge numbers. and they're ugly.
December 12, 2025 at 4:32 AM
An underrated part of Pionk's game is how slow he is :)
December 12, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Comrie spit out a poor rebound and then let in an unscreened 45 footer.

Roughly once every twenty games or so Iafallo drops a move like that.

Hard to win when a) you aren't a good team, and b) your goalie is unreliable.
December 12, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Schenn won the scrap and he's off the ice for 5 minutes. Not a bad thing, really.
December 12, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Feels like we've seen more shifts like that this year than the last three years combined.
December 10, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Sirianni looked like that pick was the least surprising result ever.
December 9, 2025 at 4:50 AM
This game is a great advertisement for something. Not decent football, but something.
December 9, 2025 at 3:52 AM
I watch the Jets, so I've seen a team really be on the wrong end of that thing. This might be the most lop-sided one ever.
December 8, 2025 at 2:54 AM
If the Bengals can win this game they might be favoured for the rest of their games and quite possibly win their division. That play was not helpful.
December 7, 2025 at 8:41 PM
Good work, Duke. First time they've ever done anything I could enjoy.
December 7, 2025 at 4:59 AM
The one time you want Duke to do something useful.

Man, Curt Cignetti ain't care. Indiana as the 1 seed is not something that many people would have predicted even as recently as 8 pm EST this evening.
