For me, giving a shit means accepting that the status quo is why we’re here. It doesn’t make sense to keep doing the same thing over and over. Maybe it made sense before, maybe it didn’t, but it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t make sense *now*. Capitalism is over, accept it, and save democracy instead.
