Interesting. So it does sound like, more and more, that it’s kind of a “reward” for getting through the fight fast enough. Makes sense. The more moves made, the more likely eventually the outcome will happen because there’s been more chances for it to happen.

I imagine it would work the same as Redeye? Either way tho, that would sound like a pain in the ass to make sure the petrified traveler doesn’t get hit.

I was waiting for Tales of the Hundred Monsters Next Door to come out all last year, and when it did and I read it, I was like “this is like if Mushishi was moderately more unsettling, but it’s been so long idk if that’s true.” …

I’ve had a DVD of all 26 episodes for years (and the live action movie, which is pretty good). And with the manga back in print/on local shelves, it’ll be nice to have a copy.
