That may be true if the general public had only to rely on itself to review the files. But there will remain a diligent group of journalists and third-party investigators who will continue to cull through these files for months and years to come, and the story will never end.

Ridiculous. 60 Minutes has routinely aired additional commentary about previously broadcast segments when appropriate. They could’ve broadcast the episode tonight and aired the White House’s comment whenever they received it.

Yes. Income tax has already been paid on income earnings, and capital gains taxes have already been paid on investment earnings. Taxing people again after they’ve already been taxed is simply confiscatory. It will lead to people moving wealth out of the country to avoid it.
