Actually my true annoyance is podcasts began as an alternative to established media, to see that impulse co-opted and gentrified irks me

I mainly object to the laziness and cheapness of it all, filling actual broadcast hours with the same stuff you put out online to attract the cool kidz. (Tbc, I'm talking about all the bbc ~cast variants)
