As it came up earlier, I checked out trust in the police by country. This chart reflects findings more widely. What’s noticeable is that Americans have a relatively high trust. Here’s similar data for Europe too. Note how trust in others comes into play.

I put Christmas tree branches into the coffin-sized box. Wouldn’t fit, so I stacked the remainder beside the box, in the wardrobe. Worried they’d get dusty, I wrapped them in a long detective overcoat & zipped it up. One day I’ll open the door, see the hidden PI & give myself a festive coronary.

The thing that Iranian protesters definitely do NOT want is the US, or its allies, making statements like this. The US has done horrific things to Iran to help the moronic Shah, before the Revolution, & Iranians don’t forget. The Shah’s offspring should STFU too. That’s the ONLY help they need.

Had an accident so was tied to several walls, so I’d have to wait. As tying it up was a serious job! So I’ve started taking it down. It’s day three & I finally reached the bottom of the tree! Even though both my brother & I had decided that the beast had to be a squirrel my nephew believed…

If you need me knock gently, as I’m still asleep. I’m planning to stay in bed, until 2027, just sleeping, drawing pictures* & shaking a walking stick at passing clouds, that I can see from my bed. Just have to convince DHL to collect & ship from my boudoir. Hopefully they have no feather allergies.

It’s taking a while to pack this behemoth away. But then again having half my flat back would be nice!

Things you don’t want to see on forecast. The arrow points to winds from the North Pole heading towards Scotland & Ireland. Normally, South Westerly winds predominate, giving both nations mild climates. I might have to dust off my Nordic gear 😉

… of US history & of even recent history. If one is to resist against tyranny, one must understand its causes. Trump is just being more obvious than previous presidents. Normally the TV only shows the velvet glove.

I think you might read a history book or two. Also I didn’t particularise to an individual, you are doing that. Here’s a good book, which will help you move beyond a colonial perspective.

If you think I exaggerate, most of the global right having given up on constitutional politics - here’s the definition of extreme/far right. Most feel that Muslims & trans ppl shouldn’t be equal; they hate non-White refugees; build walls or stop the boats & believe the false replacement conspiracy!

[20] He died in 1519, aged 67. In his will he left much of his estate to Melzi & to Salai. These two men had supported & loved him in life. Leda (nd), Nude (nd) & Salai as John the Baptist. The latter is a surprisingly erotic image for an old master!

[19] Leonardo was with his friend Francesco Melzi in France. Whilst there the Italian artist appears to have been close with the King, who admired his genius. Virgin & Child with St John (1510), Self-Portrait (1513) & John the Baptist (1513-6). Salai was the model for John.

[18] He was in Rome 1513-6 & had a good relationship with the Pope & met with the French King. He entered the King’s service in 1516, & was given a Manor House & a pension. Woman (1508), Embryo (1509-14) & St John (1510-15). The latter was based on Salai, his lover.
