Maybe. I was an 80s kid, and I certainly remember watching reruns of The Brady Bunch, The Monkees, etc., but I have no memory of M:I hanging around like that. I guess if the parents were super fans!

So this new one basically does that — which I agree is the right idea — but it’s just not terribly successful at it. You might be interested in my short Letterboxd review where I write about this a little. (Also, i agree that JP3 is the best of the sequels!)

It’s better than all of the Chris Pratt ones. But that’s a really low bar, and Rebirth doesn’t at all crack the code of feeling like an inspired or necessary Jurassic sequel.
