I’ve got a new profile on Miles Teller up at Collider! He was surprisingly open about everything he’s gone through this year — good and bad — and I greatly enjoyed talking to him about his new movie, Eternity, and much, much more.

After the wildfire that upended his life, Miles Teller leans on family, SNL, and Eternity as he resets after his toughest year yet.

I don’t like much country, but I’ve been listening to The Mavericks (who are really more alt-country or Tex-Mex country) pretty religiously since the ‘90s. We lost their tremendously talented lead singer, Raul Malo, yesterday at the not-fair age of 60, and I’m finding myself devastated about it.

I don’t buy Lucas calling Mike’s plan “Mission: Impossible-y” in Stranger Things 5.4. The season is set 14 years after the original M:I series ended and one year before the revival series dropped. Ethan Hunt is nearly a decade away. I don’t think many high-schoolers were referencing M:I in ‘87.

I’ve never in my life placed a pre-order so fast.
Behold, the Sword of Power! Excalibur! For anyone waiting for things from me, this is why: my brain has been consumed by John Boorman and Excalibur, both of them dear to my heart. The restoration is stunning, and finally presents the film in the right aspect ratio on home video... 🧵1/8

Much like the show itself, my review of Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 1 is now live! Read before you watch ... or, you know, afterward, if you're binging all four episodes tonight. But definitely sometime before you go to bed! No big spoilers contained within.

ScarJo really trying to monopolize the “late-stage franchise sequels we don’t really need” sector. First Jurassic World and now this!

Just did a quick search of the first draft of my [REDACTED] review (hint: it's coming Wednesday), and I used the words "feel" or "feels" a suboptimal 11 times. I really feel like this is my most annoying writing crutch, and I need to break it. (See what I mean?! I used it in that last sentence!!)

Sisu 2 goes full Looney Tunes, while also somehow being even more violent than the first movie, and I cackled the whole way through. This is a sequel that’s better than the original.
