The federal minimum wage has been $7.25 since 2009. That's unacceptable.

In California, we're about growing the economy and wages for working people:
💵 $16.90 minimum wage
💵 $25 minimum wage for health care workers
💵 $20 minimum wage for fast food workers

Every bit of domestic consumption sourced from the #USA is a step toward ending our dependence on immoral and often exploitative foreign #labor. We have a moral obligation as #citizens in this country to ensure our products aren't being put together in sweatshops or by #children. Buy #American.

We need a new generation of leaders who are the voices of democracy, freedom, social justice, & the rule of law.

A new generation that renews the “we” in “we the people.”

Instead of fretting over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Party should embrace him as part of its future.

I hate being under the weather, this cold doesn't help matters. Today has been difficult but im getting my self in order. I hope everyone is having a good start to their new year!

Its nice that my comments are actually reaching people and that im not being gate kept. Isolation like that makes you loose hope it makes you ask why should I bother? Its depressing. Especially when you see so many people happy together or in groups of freinds. I'm far from perfect, but I try.

I've always maintained that a destitute population living amongst rubble, suffering is not conducive to the long term #security of #Isreal. You must fight extremism and #terrorism at a multi latteral and multi domain level. Both with soft power leverage and with targeted kinetic actions.

The more I watch TV the more I see #car #commercials, the more that I worry that our fellow #Americans especially, working class Americans around the country can't make payments on those sub-prime car loans they've acquired. I still remember the sub prime crisis that caused the great recession.

I hope everyone is having a good night, happy new years for everyone! We may not all be where we want to be but we have a new year to make that happen, a new year to fight the tides of #conservative extremism and personal demons alike. And God willing our solidarity will pull us through these times.

The right-wing Supreme Court majority has once again shredded its credibility by rubber-stamping a racially gerrymandered map in Texas.

Republicans know the extremists can only win by cheating.

The people of California and beyond will prevent that from happening.

I'd like to say, that one of my goals when I do run for office is to reduce the prevalence of money influencing our political system. We must return to a government for and by the people, a government steeped in social conscience, a government that works for everyone not just for a select few.

The last five decades have been marked by an explosion in wealth inequality and a growing distrust of America’s institutions.

Many Americans believe that the system as a whole is rigged against them.

As a person who's both on #medicaid and #SNAP I can understand the clouds of uncertainty we who struggle to get by live under. This may be old news but we as #democrats must remember we still have to fight cuts to the benefits for the working poor and for the #disabled amoung us.
