There were prodigies and portents enough. We must blame ourselves for misinterpreting them.
iOS tinkerer. Bad jokes/puns. Open DMs.
However, the issue is that logging in I would get this popup every time, and adding an exception via "always for this site" did not do anything.

Not sure what's going on with Apple, but clicking the "sign in with passkey" button now just gives me this error, so I can't replicate the Bitwarden issue atm.

Yes

No, I set up the security keys before passkeys were a thing. Thanks for looking into it.

Here's what happens with Gitlab:
1) Fill in username, then click either "sign in" or "passkey" button
2) I get this popup (not sure if it matters, but I have several YubiKeys enrolled, in addition to the passkey). I hit cancel
3) I hit try again
4) I now get the Bitwarden popup for my passkey

Yeah, I’m trying to articulate a collective action problem I guess. When I think about whether I’d recommend setting up passkeys to a relative, I look at how easy it is to do on the top 3 or 4 websites.
Facebook having such restriction makes me not want to take that step.

- Facebook doesn’t support passkeys in Safari
- Gitlab passkey sign-in takes a dozen tries because of some protocol issue
- Amazon asking me to create a passkey after logging in with a passkey
- Bitwarden being unable to disable passkey popup on Apple sites while on an Apple device

- I don’t understand how anyone uses the official Bsky app since it always launches at the most recent post
- thought about using OpenVibe just for Bsky but would still have to use Bsky app to watch videos, bc, again, bugs
