When I help my 88 year old MIL with her iPad over the phone, I have to draw on my years of helping students at the reference desk. She just wants to watch her Netflix & PBS shows and do her coloring apps.

Out of our 7 cats, three will let me. Two more will let me get a claw or two if I get them when they're asleep. The other two are probably a lost cause. They're both very skittish.
